To build lots of muscle, your muscle cells must synthesize lots of protein. The BCAAs are building blocks in protein synthesis. But they do more than this. They also regulate it. For instance, supplementation with BCAAs has been shown to activate some of the same enzymes believed to be responsible for the muscle-building effects of resistance exercise. Other studies suggest that BCAA supplementation may reduce exercise (induced muscle damage and soreness, and reduce levels of perceived exertion) so that working out doesn't feel as tough. Muscle protein synthesis is a 24/7 process. So you can supplement BCAA Chewies™ Micros any time of the day. However, if your goal is to protect your muscles from exercise-induced damage and soreness, or enhance exercise-induced increases in muscle protein syntheses, then take 1-2 servings (1-2 scoops) of BCAA Chewies™ Micros before and/or after exercise. Chew each tablet thoroughly before swallowing with water.
